Why?, 2008
Construction paper, acrylic and low tack rhoplex adhesive
6' x 6'

Organized twenty three artists to devise and install six foot reminders for Baltimore City. Each idea was hand written with a sharpie onto a real note, scaled digitally and screen printed onto canary yellow paper. The back of the note was sprayed proportionally with a low tack glue allowing it to be removed easily like the real object itself. There was no damage to any property.
...........................................................

This is the first piece of artwork one views when arriving to Baltimore, via Amtrak. Does this "public sculpture" merely state that the city is not afraid to show a contemporary piece in a traditional spot? I'm not sure. Either way, this artistic decision has clearly been a focal point in the city's dialogue. As I was placing my note, someone drove by and shouted "What does that mean?"
